Seismology at School In Nepal

Seismo-at School in Nepal is a project aiming to teach earthquake preparedness in schools and install low-cost seismometers to improve the earthquake monitoring in Nepal. The fundraising campaign is organized by Dr. Shiba Subedi with the support of the University of Lausanne. The project has already achieved a positive impact on the risk awareness of children and the current goal is to expand the monitoring network.
We are using the GoFundMe platform to relay our participants' donations to the campaign.

GiveWell

GiveWell is an organization that evaluates charities based on their effectiveness and channels funds to optimize impact. Some of their selected donation causes include malaria prevention, supplements to prevent vitamin deficiencies and unconditional cash transfers to reduce poverty.
We are using the Bitcoin Cash cryptocurrency for our transactions with GiveWell.

UNICEF

UNICEF is the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund. The charity was founded in 1946 and is focused on providing children and adolescents in need with developmental and humanitarian aid. UNICEF actively participates in immediate disaster relief during earthquakes around the globe, including Indonesia, Mexico, Ecuador, Nepal and the Philippines.
Initial donation transactions were sent to UNICEF New Zealand in the Bitcoin Cash cryptocurrency. After they adopted an intermediary payment processor we switched our transactions to UNICEF France, using the Litecoin cryptocurrency.

Humanity Road

Humanity Road was a non-profit organization focusing on communication and relief efforts during natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes. They were active since 2010 and participated in the response efforts of many disasters including hurricanes Katrina, Sandy, the 2010 Haiti earthquake, 2015 Nepal earthquakes.Unfortunately they had to seize their operations in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We used the Bitcoin Cash cryptocurrency for our transactions with Humanity Road.
